PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The DC Homestead Community Center provides a gathering space for the DC Ranch community.  Amenities of the facility include a demonstration kitchen with ample counter space, an extended entry and spacious lobby, and a partitioned grand hall complete with an elevated stage for performances by the Homestead Community Theater group.  The stage is equipped with integrated audio and video system with hand held wireless microphones and a 98″ video screen for projected films and presentations.  A covered veranda extends the length of the grand hall and protrudes into an outdoor stage that overlooks the grassy event lawn.  The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is available for private events.  The grand hall setting offers a variety of options to host events from using the entire hall for large receptions to individual rooms for clubs and business meetings or the veranda and lawn for birthday parties.

The exterior features lighted basketball courts and lighted children’s pavilion that covers the Adventure Playground complete with an Oasis Water Feature.  Astronomic Lighting controls bring the play area lights on at dusk and automatically turns them off at 9 p.m. as a courtesy to the neighbors in the vicinity.

The parking lot fixtures features decorative bell fixtures with drop “jelly jar” lenses that are internally painted silver to comply with dark sky requirements.  These fixtures are mounted on decorative concrete poles formed to simulate wood poles and conform to the community standards of DC Ranch.
